Broker-Funded Clients (Direct Payments)
For clients funded by local authorities or the NHS, Zorbee integrates seamlessly with public care systems. Our platform supports third party managed budgets, ensuring payments and care arrangements align with funding regulations. By simplifying the process, we create a smooth experience for carers, clients, and brokers alike.
How Our Platform Works
Zorbee’s financial model is one of the most transparent and equitable in the care sector. We ensure every party understands where money goes and why, creating confidence and trust in every transaction.
For Private Clients:
- A carer sets a service price, for example, £20.
- Service charge + VAT: £6
- Total paid by the client: £26 per hour
- A carer sets a service price, for example, £100.
- VAT (20%) is applied: £20
- A 10% user fee is applied to the subtotal (£120): £12
- Total paid by the client: £132
- The carer receives: £88 (after a 12% platform fee)
- Zorbee retains: £24 (from user fee and carer fee)
- VAT is forwarded to HMRC

For Direct Payments Clients:

- A carer sets their own service price, for example, £20.
- VAT (20%) is applied: £4
- Total paid by the client: £24
- No VAT or user fees are added
- Zorbee retains 20% from the service price
- The carer receives 80% directly
